The National Memory Day Partnership is seeking applications for a free National Memory Day poet training session on Wednesday 13th February 2019 from 1.30 to 4.30pm at Truro Library.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from practising poets who would like to attend a free half day training session for poets interested in delivering poetry sessions in Memory Cafés and other community based dementia settings. The training takes place on Wednesday 13th February 2019 from 1.30 – 4.30 pm in the training room at Truro library.
The training will be delivered jointly by the Alzheimer’s Society and, on behalf of Literature Works, poet Karen Hayes who has successfully delivered a number of poetry sessions for the project and who has experience working with those living with memory loss.
The training is offered free of charge and although attendance does not guarantee subsequent work, it is in preparation for an upcoming programme of workshops at Memory Cafés in Cornwall.
How to apply
If you would like to apply for a place at the training session please submit a CV of relevant experience alongside a one page supporting statement detailing your suitability for the project via email.
